The Community Development Corporation of Brownsville is overseen by a community board whose members meet monthly to transact corporation business. All meetings are posted and open to the public
Board members are elected to three-year terms with a two-term limit. Nominations to the Board are made by existing and past Board members, as well as referral.
CDCB’s Board is positioned to provide input and strategic direction to the Corporation's initiatives, insight into service needs of the community at large, as well as oversight of the Corporation’s operations.
The CDCB Board is currently seeking new members.
There is a step-by-step board application process, and it is as follows:
Step 1: Read the Letter for CDCB Executive Director, Nick Mitchell-Bennett.
Step 2: Review and become familiar with the By-Laws,Articles of Incorporation, Strategic Plan and 2018 Financial Audit
Step 3: Complete the board member application.
Step 4: Submit application and all supporting documents including resume and explanations to:

Step 5: CDCB Nominations Committee will invite the top applicants to a 20 minute interview.
Step 6: CDCB Board will consider the nominations and will elect the new board members in September or October of 2019.
Step 7: The new Board Members will take their seat at the board table in October or November of 2019.
